Universities are invited to nominate one candidate who has demonstrated the potential to become a future leader in primary care research. This year we are recruiting a mid-career cohort; applicants will be at least 5 years post-doctoral or have equivalent research and leadership experience. The first residential meeting for Cohort 11, which applicants must be able to attend, will be held from 10th - 15th July in Oxford. Participants will attend day and evening sessions and dinners and be accommodated in student rooms

Past participants have found the programme inspirational, influential and a career defining experience.  They incorporate what they learn on the programme into their research, clinical and educational work.  The support they receive from the presenters and from each other has been found to be invaluable to their roles as leaders and contributes significantly to successful promotions.

Previous participants have said about the programme:

·         “I enjoy participation in the programme very much. Every year I go back home totally energized and inspired”

·         “[The programme is] hugely beneficial in terms of interaction and experience with a peer group. I have experienced a huge growth in confidence as a result. The programme has opened many doors in terms of career progression”
